Sorry for mishearing your trail name. I ...Hey Huck! Sorry for mishearing your trail name. I think you are at least 10 days ahead, I'm in Leadore now, I've seen a couple of your notes, in particular your Grizzly encounter near that lake near Lincoln. I am still carrying your bear spray (which I hope you are still OK without!) and have sent your ice ax home. Thanks again for letting me borrow those. I'll send the bear spray home when I reach West Yellowstone. I would have sent it ahead for you if I knew how to reach you. Hope you are enjoying the hike too.

Hey Cindy, thanks for following along! Hope you getting some rest from teaching!

Karen, I'll have to give that book a read again sometime. Hope you are staying cool this summer! I have been enjoying your posts. It was interesting reading this post cuz 2 days ago I was just talking about that book "Mutant Message Down Under" (I am not sure if you read that one many years ago?). I was telling someone how I really enjoyed that book cuz the woman on the walk-about faced many unexpected challenges from nature but was always able to turn the situations around and see the amazement, beauty, and benefit in them. Looks like you are experiencing the same wonderment, very cool. Have fun on the trail!
