Mark, as you prepare for your next adventure, why don't you give us some reviews on the gear you used on your last big hike. What worked, what didn't? What will you do differently this time?
I can do that, although I don't think my advice is much to go by. Unfortunately, most of my gear decisions are based on price and I just had to adapt to what I had. In other words, I made my gear work rather than having the luxury to choose what items worked the best!
