Fortuna's Riverwalk

After work on Halloween, I took a quick hike along the Riverwalk in Fortuna. What a fantastic spot for a walk. The level, gravel trail follows the Eel River. Mother Nature was putting on a display. There were huge flocks of geese flying way, way up in the sky in V patterns, migrating south for the winter. The moon was out, and the sun was setting on huge fluffy rain clouds. I hiked down to the river to look for salmon. While there, I saw four river otters hanging out in the water. Some fishermen were out on the western side of the river...
