Spring is Springing

First wildflower spotted on the Potomac River last week

Spring is already arriving on the scene around these parts, with weather fluctuating back and forth. We even had a 80 degree day last week following a couple inches of snow a few days before that. I saw my first wildflower along the Potomac River last week, and more have been blooming last few days. We are in that exciting period when the river banks begin to green and each week brings new life in different expressions. This is my favorite time of year, whenever I hike, I feel optimism and newness. Sunlight is increasing when it is out, and it reaches a little bit higher in the sky each day.
