A few more photos from the weekend's visit. We had a rain storm hit the coast Friday, so there was a nice watery sheen on the plants and trees Saturday morning...
We have (less colorful) giant slugs like the one pictured above attack the dog bowl every night in our backyard. If the dog is lucky enough to have left some food in the bowl, it gets a shiny extra topping on its breakfast the next day. If I put new food in the bowl, the dog roots around for the slug-trail covered bits in the bottom of the bowl. Weirdo.
Based on the photos above, and the look of the climate, we might be able to grow America's only East Coast redwood in our backyard.
