Those are the most amazing pictures of Mount Baldy I've ever seen. It is like another world, so vast and peaceful, and yet it is so close to urban metropolis. Thanks for posting the link.
Hey Mark do you know about the trail journals sight? Just in case you don't..... http://trailjournals.com/journals.cfm?sort=&year=2010&trail=other#Other%20Trails
Mark, like I mentioned in my email, that is the advantage of having a "real" camera (and more importantly an awesome lens). Judging by some of your photos from Muir, some of these locations make great photos no matter what kind of camera you have, but you could take them to another level with a good SLR.
Michael, do you know off hand how much approximate weight would be added with a camera upgrade? (I'm just using a simple HP digital) I'll have to look into it.

Lebird, it is like another world, it's hard to believe it's part of Southern California.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin, I'll take a look at the link...
Well, I'd say the weight of the camera was worth it! Great shots.
ReplyDeleteLove the wide angle.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, with a DSLR, you're adding significant weight. The body wouldn't be too bad, but the lenses are usually weighty.
