We had our first 80 degree day in the city today after quite some time. I noticed on my drive home from work this evening that the city was filled will the sweet smell of the eucalyptus.
LA has a wonderful fragrance that folks who never lived here cannot believe or imagine. In the balmy Summer nights there is what I call a Mountain Laurel smell. Not sure what it is exactly, but it is wonderful. The fragrance of eucalyptus, orange blossoms, sage... so heady. Love this time of year!
