Michael, that's a great observation. What's funny is that all of the tarantulas I encountered, the same thing happened. I remember sitting and watching one and thinking the same thing. They seemed to stumble all over the place.
It's kind of funny, but there was a job at the Natural History Museum a month or so ago, and one of the main reasons I didn't apply was because the ad mentioned having to work with their animals, which I know includes large spiders, snakes, etc.
And that's another reason why I like camping in a tent, even if the weather looks good!
As frightening as a tarantula encounter may be, this one didn't look too nimble!
